2021

Created in 2021 during the unsettling stillness of the COVID-19 lockdowns, “Traces” reflects a moment when the time of modernity was thrown out of joint, and, through its ruptures, nature pressed on as always. As industries fell silent and resources grew scarce, Navyāti reconnected with its surroundings, giving life to a fully handmade collection rooted in observation and intention. Each print was created by tracing leaves gathered from the garden—Vathusudda and Araliya—capturing nature’s quiet imprints by hand. Rendered entirely in white, the collection embodies minimalism, renewal, and the idea of rebirth, offering a sense of calm, resilience, and new beginnings in a time of global uncertainty.
